Ambassador Sridhar Khatri paid a courtesy call on Honorable Congressman Bill Foster (Representative, D-IL,11th District). During the meeting, Ambassador Khatri and Representative Foster exchanged views on various dimensions of Nepal-US relations. Ambassador Khatri requested Rep. Foster to join the proposed revitalized Nepal caucus in the US Congress. The Ambassador also requested Rep. Foster for his support to reauthorize the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) and Nepal Trade Preference Program (NTPP) under Trade Facilitation and Enforcement Act (TFTEA) 2015, which offer better access to Nepali goods in the US market.
