National Day and Constitution day celebrated by the Embassy

The Embassy hosted a reception on September 19, 2024 to celebrate the Constitution Day and the National Day of Nepal.
Extending his greetings and best wishes on the occasion, Chargé d’affaires (CDA) Kumar Raj Kharel highlighted the progress Nepal has made since the promulgation of constitution in 2015, particularly in strengthening its inclusive democracy and in achieving sustainable economic growth. He thanked the United States for being a reliable development partner and a close friend of Nepal in its endeavors for socio-economic development.
Speaking as the guest of honor Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Ms. Nicole Chulick stated that Nepal and the US have enjoyed excellent bilateral relations and. She welcomed the progress made by Nepal on the issue of transitional justice.
Congratulating Nepalis on the occasion, special guest at the ceremony former Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Former Chief Justice of Nepal Mr. Khil Raj Regmi remarked that the Constitution Day will inspire all Nepalis to uphold constitutional procedures and the rule of law, and to march on the way towards a democratic, inclusive and prosperous society.
Guests at the event included officials and representatives from various US agencies, ambassadors and other members of diplomatic community, business leaders, media persons and members of Nepali community.
