Finance Minister Hon. Janardan Sharma chaired today the 53rd Joint Governor’s annual meeting of the IMF and World Bank Group of South East Asia Constituency in Washington, D.C. and discussed the multiple global challenges facing the member countries while stressing the need for scaling up financing to vulnerable countries like Nepal to meet the current challenges. On the sideline, Minister Sharma also joined the executive dialogue session of the annual meeting on scaling up financing for climate change mitigation and adaptation where member countries shared their interests and concerns to tackle climate challenges in the region. Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank Maha Prasad Adhikari, Finance Secretary Krishna Hari Pushkar, and Ambassador Sridhar Khatri also participated in the meetings.
