On 17th March 2023, H.E. Ambassador Sridhar Khatri spoke at a program organized to promote Nepali carpets in New York City. The Nepal Embassy in Washington, D.C. co-hosted the promotion program with Formation Carpet of Nepal and BravinLee Editions in New York. All carpets on display at the art gallery in Chelsea exhibited exceptional Nepali handmade traditional techniques, using the finest wool and silk to create intricate patterns and designs reflecting the cultural heritage of Nepal. On the occasion, Krishna Shah of Formation Carpet and John Lee of BravinLee Editions also spoke on the creativity of the Nepali carpet industry, which is the driving force behind its success. Participating in the program were Nepal’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Amrit Rai, and members of the Nepali Consulate in New York
