Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba was called on today by Under Secretary for Civilian Security, Democracy, and Human Rights Uzra Zeya at the Embassy. The two sides discussed matters of mutual interests, including strengthening of democracy, as well as promotion and protection of human rights.
Foreign Minister Rana arrived in Washington, D.C. yesterday after attending 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly and after holding a number of meetings and side-events in New York. She is scheduled to hold more meetings with a number of senior US officials on the matters of bilateral interests to both countries.
