The Embassy celebrated the 260th Nepal Army Day on March 20, 2023 at a special function organized at the official residence of the Ambassador. Addressing the function Ambassador Sridhar Khatri shed light on the history of Nepal army and ongoing military-to-military cooperation between Nepal and the United States of America. Ms. Lindsey Ford, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for South and Southeast Asia attended the function as the Chief Guest. Several high ranking officials from the U.S. Army, Department of Defense, Department of State, Defense Attachés of other countries, Diaspora of Nepali Army Veterans in the United States of America and friends of Nepal, among others, were present on the occasion. Making the welcome remarks, Military Attaché, Brig. Gen. Bhuwan Purna Satyal highlighted the significance of Nepali Army Day.
