On September 29, 2023, Ambassador Sridhar Khatri hosted a meeting at his residence with the Honorary Consuls of Nepal in various cities of the US. The meeting was an opportunity for the Ambassador to thank the Honorary Consuls for their important works in promoting Nepal and supporting the Nepali citizens and Nepali American community in their respective consular districts. The meeting also discussed the Embassy’s priorities in advancing economic diplomacy, including in the areas of trade, investment and tourism promotion, and providing consular services to Nepali communities in various parts of the US, also through consular services camps. The Ambassador received updates on the Honorary Consuls’ latest activities and future initiatives.
The Honorary Consuls play an important role in advancing Nepal’s economic and cultural interests in the US while also extending much-needed support and coordination in providing the Embassy’s consular services to Nepali communities.
