On August 11, Ambassador Sridhar Khatri welcomed Sarswati Nepali, one of the 2023 Global Anti-Racism Champion (GARC) awardees at the Embassy of Nepal. During the meeting, Ambassador congratulated Ms. Nepali on being recognized for over two decades of work in advocating for the marginalized community in rural western Nepal, especially in her home district Baitadi. She also shared her multiple projects, including legal and land title justice for Dalit families. She is the president of the Dalit Society Development Forum.
Jaya Ram Nepali from the US Embassy, Nepal, and Mr. Chidera C. Nwaubi from the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor Office of South and Central Asia also joined the meeting.
