Ambassador Khatri held a virtual meeting with Representative Jan Schakowsky, US House of Representative (Illinois 9th Congressional District) on 5 July 2022 to exchange views on matters of mutual interest in further strengthening Nepal-US relations.

Ambassador Khatri had a courtesy meeting with the US Secretary of State Hon. Antony J. Blinken at the State Department on 16 June 2022, during which a brief exchange of views on matters of mutual interest in the Nepal-US bilateral relations took place.

Ambassador Khatri visited the personal art exhibition of Tsherin Sherpa at Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA) in Richmond, Virginia on 29 June 2022. Curator of “Tsherin Sherpa Spirits” exhibition Dr. John Henry Rice gave a personal tour of the exhibition as well as of the Museum. Ambassador Khatri attended a photo-op session with President Joe Biden at the White House on 13 June 2022, during which they had a brief exchange of words on further strengthening Nepal-US bilateral relations.

On 9 June 2022, Ambassador Khatri met with Representative Ami Bera, Chairman of the US House Subcommittee on Asia, the Pacific, Central Asia and Nonproliferation at his Office in Cannon House, Capitol Hill, Washington, D.C. and exchanged views on promoting bilateral relations between Nepal and the USA through the legislatures of the two countries.

Ambassador Sridhar Khatri kicked off the second edition of Nepal Embassy vs BANA friendly soccer match at Eastern Regional Park, Middle River, Maryland on May 29 2022. The friendly match was hosted by Baltimore Association of Nepalis in America – BANA.
