Rt. Hon. K P Sharma Oli, Prime Minister of Nepal, was called on by the USAID Administrator, H.E. Samantha Power, on the sidelines of the UNGA. The Embassy hosted a reception on September 19, 2024 to celebrate the Constitution Day and the National Day of Nepal. Extending his greetings and best wishes on the occasion, Chargé d’affaires (CDA) Kumar Raj Kharel highlighted the progress Nepal has made since the promulgation of constitution in 2015, particularly in strengthening its inclusive democracy and in achieving sustainable economic growth.

Charge d’ Affaires, a.i. Kumar Raj Kharel welcomed the Nepali delegation led by Secretary of the Government of Nepal Ram Krishna Subedi at US Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) headquarters in Washington, D.C. on 19th August 2024. CDA Kharel and Deputy Director and Chief Operating Officer at the USTDA Ellie Collinson made remarks welcoming the delegation.
As part of its public engagement, the Embassy participated in the second edition of ROYALS RUN (10k/5k/1k) in Fairfax, Virginia on August 17, 2024. The Embassy officials and their family members ran various categories of the run. The Embassy thanks the organizer of the event, Nova Royals Soccer Club, for hosting the event.
